I am currently licensed within the state of Alaska, and have held previous licensure in both Virginia and South Carolina. I’ve been a Licensed Massage Therapist for over 12 years since gaining certification from The Alaska Institute of Oriental Medicine in 2012. Since then, I’ve had experience treating clients in a variety of settings including high end spas, chiropractic offices, and medical clinics.

I am passionate about womens health and have a tremendous amount of respect for the transitions our bodies go through on a monthly basis, through pregnancy and giving life, and through all of the other plethora of reproductive concerns that can occur throughout our lives. I am certified in Pregnancy and Postpartum massage and welcome all the moms to be with comfy pregnancy cushions and side lying positioning systems.

I was previously certified as a Nursing Assistant, and had the experience of working at two different hospitals in the lower 48. Exploring nursing in a hospital setting allowed for an immensely visceral patient care experience that still informs how I operate in the world today, as well as how I want to contribute in service to others.

The environments I’ve been a part of have allowed for a holistic perspective on patient care that thoroughly informs the approach I have with clients. The experiences I’ve had bring a vast amount of empathy to the way that I see people in general, and the life struggles that we all work through and deal with, from the day to day, to the bigger transitional events.

All of this has helped to solidify and prioritize the non negotiable importance of a high standard in care and the type of holistically mindful space that I want to provide for others. It has been a basis for this practice, and is the vision that I want to continue to create within Mountain Crest Womens Wellness.

I am local to Alaska, born and raised in Anchorage. Very much into health and wellness, which is what drew me into Massage therapy. I naturally gravitate towards helping others and have always had an interest in anything body, mind, and spirit related. I took a break from college courses to pursue massage therapy when I started to realize the importance of body connection in the approach to exploring the mind.

Through life experience and significant diversity, I’ve developed an increased sense of compassion and understanding that can allow for a really grounded approach to working with clients. I’m very passionate about an intentional environment that offers a healing space that can significantly uplevel the work being done.

In my off time, I love going on meditative wood walks with my springer spaniel Claire, and angel fur babe Athena. I enjoy spending quality time with my family, laughing to tears during after dinner game nights. I like soaking in information from great minds on podcasts. I really appreciate relaxing music and good books. I love the outlet of writing, and often journal, freewrite, and do the occasional poetry jot. I practice meditation, yoga, and pilates. I also really love hiking and camping when I get the opportunity to do so, I thoroughly value the reset it provides, fully unplugging and connecting deeply with nature.
